年賀切手 昭和64年用 1988 (昭和63年) 12月1日発行
1989年用年賀切手は、1988年 (昭和63) 12月1日に発行された。1989年1月7日、昭和天皇が崩御された。従って、1989年の「昭和」は7日間だけだった。元号は「平成」となった。併せて、寄付金無し年賀はがき40円 (31.38億枚) と、額面40円+寄付金3円はがき (1.92億枚) が発行された。年賀切手は、7千万枚 (葉書の49分の一) が発行された。デザインは下野土鈴の「土鈴の蛇」であり、年賀はがき懸賞として、慶時切手 60円と組み合わせた「小型シート」が配賦された。

At the same time, 40 yen (3.138 billion pieces) of New Year's postcards without donations and 40 yen of face value + 3 yen of donations (192 million pieces) were issued. 70 million New Year stamps (1/49 of postcards) were issued. The design is Shimono Dorei's "Dorei Snake", and a "small sheet" combined with celebration stamp of 60 yen was distributed as a New Year's postcard
