1996年用年賀切手は、1995年 (平成7年) 11月15日に発行された。今年は、50円 (5千万枚) と80円年賀切手 (1千万枚) と、くじ付きの50+3円 (1500万枚) と80+3円年賀切手 (1000万枚) 4種が発行された。デザインは、50円切手が「唐辛子乗りネズミ」寄付金付き切手50＋3円が「蕪乗りネズミ」、80円と80＋3円は、ともに「米倉ネズミ」である。更に年賀はがき懸賞として年賀切手50円と80円を組み合わせた「小型シート」が配賦された。
