2002年用年賀切手は、2001年 (平成13年) 11月15日に発行された。今年は、50円 (5千万枚) と80円年賀切手 (1千万枚) と、くじ付き50+3円 (1500万枚) と80+3円年賀切手(600万枚) の4種が発行された。デザインは、50円切手とくじ付き50+3円切手が「スゲ細工の稲馬」、80円切手とくじ付き80円が、ともに「吉良の赤馬」である。更に年賀はがき懸賞として、年賀切手50円と80円を組み合わせた「小型シート」が配賦された。
