郵政省と地方郵政局は、1999年（平成11）4月、「ふるさと切手」を発行した。デザインは、北海道の「北のロマン花木」4種（各787.5万枚）である。
Furusato (Regional) Stamps Issued on4 28, 1999(Heisei 11)
The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Local Post Office issued "Furusato Stamps" in April 1999 (Heisei 11). The design is four kinds of "Northern Romantic Flowering Trees" in Hokkaido (7.875 million pieces each).
