郵政省と地方郵政局は、1999年（平成11）5月、「ふるさと切手」を発行した。デザインは、北海道の「北の大地」の2種（各990万枚）である。
Furusato (Regional) Stamps Issued on 5 25, 1999 (Heisei 11)
The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Local Post Office issued "Furusato Stamps" in May 1999 (Heisei 11). There are two types of designs (9.9 million pieces each) of "Northern Land" in Hokkaido.
