ふるさと切手 1999（平成11年） 7月 16日 発行
郵政省と地方郵政局は、1999年（平成11）7月、「ふるさと切手」を発行した。デザインは、千葉県「大賀ハス」（1300万枚）である。大賀ハスは、2000年前のハスの種が植物学者の大賀博士によって1952年に開花したことにより命名された。この切手資料の著者、大川英樹は、小学生時代に大賀博士から直接この事を聞いた経験がある。同時に切手帳ペーンが発行された。
Furusato (Regional) Stamps Issued on 7 16, 1999 (Heisei 11).
The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Local Post Office issued "Furusato Stamps" in July 1999 (Heisei 11). The design is Chiba Prefecture "Oga Hasu" (13 million sheets). Oga lotus was named after the 2000-year-old seed of the lotus flowered in 1952 by the botanist Dr. Oga. Hideki Okawa, the author of this stamp material, has heard this from Dr. Oga when he was in elementary school.
At the same time, a stamp booklet pane was issued.
