ふるさと切手 1999（平成11年） 8月 2日 発行
郵政省と地方郵政局は、1999年（平成11）8月、「ふるさと切手」を発行した。デザインは、熊本県の「うたせ船」＊（600万枚）である。同時に切手帳ペーンが発行された。

Furusato (Regional) Stamps Issued on 8 2, 1999 (Heisei 11)
The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Local Post Office issued "Furusato Stamps" in August 1999 (Heisei 11). The design is "Utase Ship" * (6 million pieces) from Kumamoto Prefecture. At the same time, a stamp booklet pane was issued.
* A unique Japanese fishing method in which wind sails are stretched parallel to the hull and the force of the wind slides the ship sideways while pulling a net to catch fish and shellfish.
