郵政省と地方郵政局は、2001年 (平成13) 4月、「ふるさと切手」を発行した。デザインは新潟県の「高田城跡の桜」 (610万枚) である。同時に切手帳ペーンが発行された。

The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Local Post Office issued "Furusato Stamps" in April 2001 (Heisei 13). The design is "Sakura of Takada Castle Ruins" (6.1 million pieces) in Niigata Prefecture. At the same time, a stamp booklet pane was issued.
