郵政省と地方郵政局は、2001年 (平成13) 10月、「ふるさと切手」を発行した。デザインは東京都の「早稲田大学大熊講堂」 (980万枚) である。同時に切手帳ペーンが発行された。

The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Local Post Office issued "Furusato Stamps" in October 2001 (Heisei 13). The design is "Waseda University Okuma Auditorium" (9.8 million copies) in Tokyo. At the same time, a stamp booklet pane was issued.
