Frusato (Regional) StampsIssued on 3 18, 2002 (Heisei 14) The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Local Post Office issued "Furusato Stamps" in March 2002. The designs are "Hiikawa Riverbank Cherry Blossom Trees" in Shimane Prefecture and "Bitchū Kokubunji Five-storied Pagoda" in Okayama Prefecture (3.8 million pieces each). At the same time, stamp booklets for both prefectures were issued.
