Pagoda Air Mail Stamps (Sen Units) Issued on 1951 (Showa26)

Pagoda Air Mail Stamps (Sen Units) Issued on 1951 (Showa26) With the signing of the San Francisco Peace Treaty in September 1946, Japan became an independent country again. As a result, domestic airmail was resumed in October of the same year, and domestic airmail stamps of 15 yen, 20 yen, and 40 yen (then 25 yen and 30 yen were added) were issued. Both designs are five-storied pagoda and Douglas aircraft, and because the face value has 00 in coin units, they are called "00 sen unit"five-storied pagoda airmail stamps".
