第21回国際数学者会議 1990年（平成2年）8月17日発行 国際数学者会議（International Congress of Mathematicians：ICM）は、数学界最大の会合であり、4年に一度、国際数学連合の主催により行われる。切手は、1990年に京都で開催された国際数学者会議を記念して発行され、「星形多面体と地球」がデザインされている。

The International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) is the largest meeting in the world of mathematics and is organized by the International Mathematical Union once every four years.The stamp was issued in commemoration of the International Congress of Mathematicians held in Kyoto in 1990, and is designed with "star-shaped polyhedron and the earth".
