第100回天皇賞競馬 1989年（平成元年）10月 27日発行 天皇賞は、日本中央競馬会（JRA）が春・秋に年2回施行する中央競馬の重賞競走（GI）である。第1回「帝室御賞典」は1937年に行われ、日本で開催される競馬では最高の格付けとなる。切手は1989年10月に開催された第100回天皇賞競争を記念して発行され、五冠馬「シンザン」がデザインされている。
100th Tennosho Horse Race Issued on October 27, 1989 (Heisei 1) The Emperor's Award is a group race (GI) of the Japan Racing Association (JRA), which is held twice a year in spring and autumn. The 1st "Imperial Award" was held in 1937 and is the highest rating in horse racing held in Japan. The stamp was issued in commemoration of the 100th Emperor's Award competition held in October 1989, and the five-crowned horse "Shinzan" is designed.
