Occupation stamps 11 (Java 1) Issued from 1943-1945

Occupation stamps 11 (Java 1) Issued from 1943-1945 In March 1942 (Showa 17), after the end of Operation Java, the Japanese army used the local stamps except for some. He also brought in Japanese stamps and used them for communication with Japan and other occupied territories without overprinting. After that, in March 1943 (Showa 18), stamps for the 1st anniversary of the occupation, definitive stamps, and savings stamps were issued. Regular stamps, like other occupied territories, were manufactured and issued by the Japanese Cabinet Printing Bureau.
Those stamps became ineffective at the end of the war in August 1945. * Osamu Imai, "100 Years of Japanese Stamps", Nihon Yushu Shuppan, 1978, P168-169 Reference
