Fespic Games 1989 in Kobe Issued on September 14, 1989 (Heisei 1) In September 1989, the Fespic was held in Kobe. FESPIC Games is a multi-sport event for the disabled in Asia and the Pacific. Nine tournaments were held from 1975 to 2006. In the Asia-Pacific region, where the competition opportunities for athletes with disabilities were limited compared to Europe and the United States, it functioned as a central regional multi-sport event and pioneered the Asian Para Games. Stamps are issued in commemoration of this tournament and designed for "wheelchair racing".
