なら・シルクロード博 1988年（昭和63年） 4月 23日発行 なら・シルクロード博覧会は、1988年4月奈良市で開催された博覧会である。奈良公園周辺の会場を中心に開催された。閉幕後も奈良公園シルクロード交流館でシルクロードの歴史や奈良との関係を展示紹介している。切手はこの博覧会を記念して発行され、「螺鈿紫檀五弦琵琶の捍撥（らでんしたんごげんびわのかんぱち）」＊がデザインされている。 ＊貝殻を使った螺鈿(らでん)で、熱帯樹と飛鳥や駱駝(らくだ)に乗り琵琶を弾く胡人（3-4世紀の中国民族）を描いている。
Silk Road Exposition, Nara, 1988 Issued on May 23, 1988 (Showa 63) The Nara Silk Road Expo is an exposition held in Nara City in April 1988. It was held mainly at venues around Nara Park. Even after the closing, the history of the Silk Road and its relationship with Nara are exhibited and introduced at the Silk Road Exchange Center in Nara Park. The stamp was issued in commemoration of this exposition, and was designed with "Raden Rosewood Five-String Biwa no Kanpachi". * Raden made of shells depicts Hu people (Chinese non-Han people in the 3rd and 4th centuries) playing biwa on tropical trees and Asuka and camels.
