Inauguration of Seto-Oohashi Bridge Issued on April 8, 1988 (Showa 63) Seto Ohashi is a general term for 10 bridges that connect Kurashiki City in Okayama Prefecture and Kagawa Prefecture in Shikoku. This is the Kojima-Sakaide route of the Honshu-Shikoku Bridge that straddles the Seto Inland Sea, and most of the bridge belongs to Kagawa Prefecture. The entire line was opened in 1988 (Showa 63), connecting Shikoku and Honshu with a land passage.
Stamps are issued to commemorate the completion and opening of Seto Ohashi, and designed with "Seto Ohashi on the Kagawa Prefecture side and Seto Ohashi from the Okayama Prefecture side".
