さようなら鉄道郵便 1987年（昭和62年） 3月 26日発行
鉄道郵便局は、鉄道郵便を取り扱うためにかつて郵政省に存在した郵便局の一種である。引受した郵便物を列車に連結した郵便車で運送、区分していた。1970年代以降、自動車、航空機による輸送に押され、1984年2月に取扱便、車内継走区分が廃止、1986年9月に護送便も廃止、廃局となった。
切手はその廃止を偲んで発行され、「C1178ユ3700型鉄道郵便列車」と、「郵便事業絵巻」がデザインされている。
Farewell to Railway Post Service Issued on March 26, 1987 (Showa 62)
The Railway Post Office is a type of post office that once existed in the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications to handle railway mail. The underwritten mail was transported and sorted by a postal car connected to the train.
Since the 1970s, it has been pushed by transportation by car and aircraft, and in February 1984, the handling flights and in-car transit classification were abolished, and in September 1986, the escort flights were also abolished and the station was closed.
The stamp was issued in memory of its abolition, and "C1178 Yu 3700 type railway postal train" and "Postal service picture scroll" are designed.
