奥の細道シリーズ 1 1987年（昭和62年）2月 26日発行 『おくのほそ道』は、江戸時代の元禄文化期（17世紀後半から18世紀初頭）に活躍した俳人「松尾芭蕉」の紀行及び俳諧である。この文学作品は、1702年に出版された。日本の古典における紀行文学の代表的作品であり、芭蕉の著作中最も著名である。切手は、第1集から第10集まで各2種（4枚）発行され、それぞれに風景や人物や俳句がデザインされている。 ※ 俳句とは、季語（季節言葉）及び五・七・五（十七音）を主とした「定型詩」である。
OKU-NO-HOSOMICHI SERIES 1 Issued on February 26, 1987 (Showa 62) "Oku-no-hosomichi" is a travelogue and haiku* of the poet "Matsuo Basho" who was active during the Genroku culture period (late 17th century to early 18th century) in the Edo period. This literary work was published in 1702. It is a representative work of travel literature in Japanese classics, and is the most prominent of Basho's writings. Two types (4 stamps) of stamps are issued from the 1st to the 10th collections, and landscapes, people and haiku are designed for each. * Haiku is a fixed verse based on seasonal words and fixed verses that mainly consist of 5, 7, and 5 (17 sounds).
