第11回国際電子顕微鏡学会議 1986年（昭和61年） 8月 30日発行 郵政省は1986年8月に東京で開催された「世界電子顕微鏡学会議」を記念して切手を発行した。この会議は国際顕微鏡学会連合（IFSM）の活動として、日本も積極的に参加している。日本顕微鏡学会では、研究成果を国際的に広め、顕微鏡学の発展に貢献するため、研究発表を行う若手研究者を対象に奨励金を拠出している。
11th International Congress of Electron-Microscopy

The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued stamps in commemoration of the "World Electron Microscopy Conference" held in Tokyo in August 1986.
Japan is also actively participating in this conference as an activity of the International Association of Microscopy (IFSM). The Japanese Society of Microscopy provides incentives to young researchers who make presentations in order to disseminate research results internationally and contribute to the development of microscopy.
