関越トンネル開通 1985年（昭和60年） 10月 2日発行 1985年（昭和60年）10月、関越トンネル（群馬県「谷川岳PA」と、新潟県「土樽PA」間）が開通した。本トンネルの開通に伴い、関越道は練馬IC - 長岡JCT間全線が開通し、日本で最初の列島横断道が完成した。切手はその開通を記念して発行され、「関越トンネルと断面図」がデザインされている。
Completion of Kan-Etsu Tunnel Issued on October 2, 1985 (Showa 60)
In October 1985 (Showa 60), the Kanetsu Tunnel (between "Tanigawadake PA" in Gunma Prefecture and "Tsuchitaru PA" in Niigata Prefecture) was opened. With the opening of this tunnel, the entire line between Nerima IC and Nagaoka JCT was opened on the Kan-etsu Expressway, and the first crossing of the archipelago in Japan was completed.
The stamp was issued to commemorate the opening of the stamp, and the "Kanetsu Tunnel and Cross Section" was designed.
