放送大学開学 1985年（昭和60年） 4月 1日発行 1981年、生涯学習機関として、広く社会人等に大学教育の機会を提供するという趣旨で放送大学学園法（昭和56年法律第80号、以下、旧法）が制定された。放送大学は、旧法に基づき特殊法人である放送大学学園が1983年に設置した大学である。切手はその開設を記念して発行され、「大学本部とパラボラアンテナ」がデザインされている。
Inaugration of the University Issued on April 1, 1985 (Showa 60)
In 1981, the Broadcasting University Academy Law (Law No. 80 of 1981, hereinafter referred to as the old law) was enacted with the aim of providing opportunities for university education to a wide range of working people as a lifelong learning institution. The Open University of Japan is a university established in 1983 by The Open University of Japan, a special corporation based on the old law.
The stamp was issued to commemorate the opening of the stamp, and the "University Headquarters and Parabolic Antenna" was designed.
