In the history of professional baseball in Japan, the professional baseball team "Pro League" was established in 1936, and professional baseball games began. While the number of teams increased and decreased due to the problems of team reorganization, professional baseball in one league became a two-league system, and now there are 12 teams in two leagues. Stamps are issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of professional baseball, and are designed by "Pitcher and Batter" and "Professional Baseball Founder Matsutaro Shoriki".
