一般社団法人日本内科学会（The Japanese Society of Internal Medicine）は、1903年に創立された内科学に関する学会である。研究発表、知識交換、会員と関連学会との連携協力を目的とする日本最大の学術会議である。
切手は、1984年10月に東京で開催された第17回国際内科学会議を記念して発行され、「慈照寺銀閣」がデザインされている。

The Japanese Society of Internal Medicine is an academic society on internal medicine founded in 1903. It is the largest science council in Japan for the purpose of research presentation, knowledge exchange, and cooperation between members and related academic societies.
The stamp was issued in commemoration of the 17th International Conference on Internal Medicine held in Tokyo in October 1984, and "Jishoji Ginkaku" was designed.
