Alpine Plants Series 4 Issued on 2.28, 1986 (Showa61) Since the Japanese archipelago is located in the convergence zone of the oceanic plate and has active volcanic activity, various geological features and topography develop in a narrow area, and the high mountains are affected by the climate of heavy snow and strong winds in winter and heavy rainfall in other seasons.
As a result, we have seen alpine plants adapted to each environment.The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications selected 14 species of representative alpine plants in Japan and published them from 1984 to 1986.This leaf publishes the 7th collections.
