国際科学技術博覧会 1984年（昭和59年） 2月 10日発行
国際科学技術博覧会（ The International Exposition, Tsukuba, Japan ）は1985年3月～9月まで開催された。通称は「 科学万博」と呼ばれた。この博覧会は、おもに筑波研究学園都市をメイン会場として開催された。
切手は、1984年2月、この博覧会の寄付を募り、また、博覧会の宣伝を目的として発行され、「博覧会のシンボルマークとマスコット」がデザインされている。
The International Exposition Issued on February 10, 1984 (Showa 59) The International Exposition, Tsukuba, Japan was held from March to September 1985. The popular name was "Science Expo". This exposition was held mainly at Tsukuba Science City as the main venue.The stamp was issued in February 1984 for the purpose of soliciting donations for this exposition and promoting the exposition, and the "exposition symbol mark and mascot" was designed.
