Philatelic Week Issued on April 20, 1982 (Showa 57) The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued stamp hobby week stamps in April 1982. This time, "Yukimi of Matsutiyama" by Torii Kiyonaga was adopted. Torii Kiyonaga is an ukiyo-e artist from the Edo period. He was active mainly in the Tenmei period between Harunobu Suzuki and Utamaro Kitagawa, and was one of the six major ukiyo-e artists along with Sharaku,Hokusai, and Hiroshige. He is particularly well-received worldwide for his eight-headed bijin-ga.
