神経等国際会議 1981年（昭和56年） 9月 12日発行 1981年9月、日本神経学会は第12回世界神経学会議を誘致し、京都で開催した。その後、日本は2017年に同大会を京都で再度開催した。これ迄のWCN歴史上、2回開催された都市はロンドン（1935年，2001年），ウィーン（1965年，2013年）の2都市のみである。切手はこの会議の日本初開催を記念して発行され、「脳と世界地図」がデザインされている。
International Conference of Neurology

In September 1981, the Japanese Society of Neurology invited the 12th World Neurology Conference to be held in Kyoto. After that, Japan re-held the conference in Kyoto in 2017. In the history of WCN so far, only two cities, London (1935, 2001) and Vienna (1965, 2013), have been held twice.
The stamp was issued to commemorate the first holding of this conference in Japan, and the "Brain and World Map" was designed.
