近代洋風建築シリーズ 3 1982年（昭和57年）6月12日 / 9月10日発行 明治以降、日本は近代化に必要な都市を築くため、西洋建築技術の取得と外国人建築家を招聘して、ヨーロッパの近代建築物を踏襲した建物を次々と建造した。その後、関東大震災などの大地震が発生したことにより、煉瓦造建築に大きな被害が生じたことから、日本独自の耐震構造技術への関心が高まった。切手は、明治以降に建てられた代表的な洋風建築物20物件（20種）をデザインしている。このリーフは、第5集と6集を掲載する。

After the Meiji era, in order to build the city necessary for modernization, Japan acquired Western building technology and invited foreign architects to build buildings that followed modern European buildings one after another.
