8th International Congress of Pharmacology Issued on July 18, 1981 (Showa 56) The International Conference on Pharmacology was first held in Stockholm in 1961 and has been held every three years since then around the world. In 1981, the 8th meeting was held in Tokyo, and Professor Setsuro Ebashi of the University of Tokyo School of Medicine served as the leader. Currently, it is held every four years. The stamp was issued to commemorate the conference in Tokyo, and the "human body and dose-response curve" was designed.
