沖縄・ルソン・香港海底ケーブル開通 1977年（昭和52年） 8月 26日発行 KDDIは，1953年（昭和28年）に設立されて以来，国際電気通信需要の増大・多様化に対処して国際電気通信施設の拡充，強化を推進して来た。そのうち、国際海底ケーブルは １.第一太平洋横断ケーブル ２.第二太平洋横断ケーブル ３.日本海ケーブル ４.日本中国間ケーブル、そして、1977年8月に開通した沖縄・ルソン・香港間ケーブルである。郵政省は1977年8月、この海底ケーブル開通を記念して切手を発行し、「海底ケーブル経路図と子供」がデザインされている。
Opening of Trans Okinawa-Luzon Issued on August 26, 1977 (Showa 52) Since its establishment in 1953 (Showa 28), KDDI has promoted the expansion and strengthening of international telecommunications facilities in response to the increasing and diversifying demand for international telecommunications. Among them, the international submarine cables are (1) the first trans-Pacific cable, (2) the second trans-Pacific cable, (3) the Sea of Japan cable, (4) the Japan-China cable, and the Okinawa-Luson-Hong Kong cable that opened in August 1977.In August 1977, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued a stamp to commemorate the opening of the submarine cable, and the "submarine cable route map and children" was designed.
