Gaining Critical Mass of Breeder Reactor "JOYO"

Joyo is an experimental reactor constructed for purpose of basic research and research to obtain the technology, data and experience necessary for the development of a fast breeder reactor, which was started in 1971 (Showa 46). Joyo was Japan's first fast breeder reactor and reached a critical point in 1977. (Stopped operation in 2007)
Stamps are issued in commemoration of that, and the core of "Joyo" is designed.
