In November 1974, the 9th International Edible Mushroom Conference was held in Tokyo. The conference, called the "Olympic Games in the Mushroom World," was founded by the International Mushroom Society and is the world's largest festival in the edible mushroom science and technology world and industry.
Representatives of international organizations such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Bank, government officials, scientists and entrepreneurs from each country will participate.This conference will strengthen science and technology exchanges over edible mushrooms and promote the development of related science and technology and industry.
The stamp was issued in commemoration of this conference, and the cultivated shiitake mushroom developed in Japan is designed.
