国際文通週間 1973年（昭和48年）10月 6日発行 1973年10月、国際文通週間（International Letter Writing Week）切手が発行された。これは、文通による相互理解で世界平和に貢献する国際週間である。万国郵便連合（UPU）結成日である10月9日から1週間、毎年設定されている。切手は、日本画家伊藤若冲の「群鶏図（ぐんけいず）」がデザインされている。

In October 1973, the International Letter Writing Week stamp was issued.
This is an international week that contributes to world peace through mutual understanding through correspondence.It is set every year for a week from October 9, the date of formation of the Universal Postal Union (UPU).The stamp is designed by Japanese painter Ito Jakuchu's "Gunkeizu" (free range chicken).
