ボーイスカウト50年 1972年（昭和47年）11月 4日発行 1908年（明治41年）、英国から日本にボーイスカウト運動が伝わり、1922年（大正11年）4月に「少年団日本連盟」（現在の財団法人ボーイスカウト日本連盟）が創立された。同年、日本はボーイスカウト国際連盟に正式加盟した。切手は、1922年の少年団日本連盟創立50年を記念して発行され、ボーイスカウトの少年がデザインされている。

In 1908 (Meiji 41), the Boy Scout movement was introduced from the United Kingdom to Japan, and in April 1922 (Taisho 11), the "Boy Group Japan Federation" was established. In the same year, Japan officially joined the League of Nations for Boy Scouts.The stamp was issued in November 1972 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Japan Federation of Boy Scouts, and designed by Boy Scouts.
