In 1908 (Meiji 41), the Boy Scout movement was introduced from the United Kingdom to Japan, and in April 1922 (Taisho 11), the "Boy Group Japan Federation" was established. In the same year, Japan officially joined the League of Nations for Boy Scouts.The stamp was issued in November 1972 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Japan Federation of Boy Scouts, and designed by Boy Scouts.
