第19回国際職業訓練競技大会 1970年（昭和45年） 11月 10日発行 国際技能競技大会（WorldSkills Competition）は、1950年にスペインで行われた職業青年団による競技大会が起源である。大会の運営は、ワールドスキルズインターナショナル（WSI：WorldSkills International)?によって行われ、メンバーは、加盟各国の技術代表により構成されている。日本は、中央職業能力開発協会がメンバーとなっており、ワールドスキルズ・ジャパン(WorldSkills Japan)として活動し、国際大会に日本選手団を派遣している。切手は、1970年に行われた第19回国際大会を記念して発行され、大会マークと競技者がデザインされている。

The WorldSkills Competition originated in a competition by the Professional Youth Group held in Spain in 1950. The tournament is run by WorldSkills International (WSI), and its members are technical representatives from member countries. Japan is a member of Japan Vocational Ability Development Association, which is active as WorldSkills Japan and dispatches Japanese athletes to international competitions.The stamp was issued in commemoration of the 19th International Convention held in 1970, and is designed with the convention mark and athletes.
