電信創業100年 1970年（昭和45年） 10月 20日発行 日本の電信の歴史は、1868年に官営電信事業が決定され、翌年より東京と横浜間で電信サービスが開始された。 1948年に電気通信研究所、1952年には日本電信電話公社が発足。 その後、1985年に民営化され、現在の日本電信電話（NTT）となった。切手は、電信創業100年を記念して発行され、三代目歌川広重の描いた「保土ヶ谷」がデザインされている。
Centenary of Telegraph Issued on 10 20, 1970 (Showa 45) As for the history of Japanese telegraph, the government-owned telegraph business was decided in 1868, and the telegraph service was started between Tokyo and Yokohama the following year. The Research Institute of Electrical Communication was established in 1948, and the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation was established in 1952. After that, it was privatized in 1985 and became the current Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT).The stamp was issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the telegraph, and is designed with "Hodogaya" drawn by the third generation "Hiroshige Utagawa".
