明治百年記念・青年の船 1968年（昭和43年） 1月 19日発行 世界青年の船（Ship for World Youth: 通称SWY）事業は内閣府青年国際交流事業の一つで、18?30歳の青年が世界各地から集まり、日本参加青年約120人、10カ国から募る外国青年約120人と船内で１ヶ月共同生活をしながら、ディスカッションや文化交流等を通して、異文化対応力やコミュニケーション力を高め、リーダーシップ等の向上を図る。また、訪問国では、ディスカッションのテーマに応じた施設訪問や現地青年との交流などを行っている。切手は、明治100年と青年の船事業を記念してを記念して発行され、男女と青年の船がデザインされている。
Japan Youth Good Will Cruise Issued on January 19, 1968 (Showa 43) The Ship for World Youth (also known as SWY) project is one of the Cabinet Office Youth International Exchange Projects, in which young people aged 18 to 30 gather from all over the world and recruit about 120 young people from 10 countries.While living together with about 120 foreign youths on board for a month, we will improve cross-cultural responsiveness and communication skills and improve leadership through discussions and cultural exchanges. In the countries visited, they visit facilities and interact with local youth according to the theme of the discussion.Stamps are issued to commemorate the 100th year of the Meiji era and the youth ship business, and are designed for men and women and youth ships.
