1967年10月、国際文通週間（?International Letter Writing Week）切手が発行された。これは、文通による相互理解で世界平和に貢献する国際的週間である。万国郵便連合（UPU）結成日である10月9日から1週間、毎年設定されている。
切手は、浮世絵師「葛飾北斎」の富岳三十六景「甲州石斑沢」がデザインされている。
International Letter Writing Week Issued on October 6, 1967 (Showa 42) In October 1967, the International Letter Writing Week stamp was issued.This is an international week that contributes to world peace through mutual understanding through correspondence. It is set every year for a week from October 9, the date of formation of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). The stamp is designed by the ukiyo-e artist "Katsushika Hokusai" and the 36 views of Mt. Fuji "Koshu Kajikazawa".
