National Traffic Safety Campaign Issued on May 22, 1967 (Showa 42) After the war, until the mid-1965s, the number of transportation vehicles increased significantly with economic development, and the number of fatalities in traffic accidents increased significantly in proportion to it. As a result, police throughout the country have tightened their crackdowns, and traffic safety campaigns have been carried out with the cooperation of the police in charge and the private sector.
Stamps have been issued for the campaign and are designed with children crossing and traffic lights.
