日本近代文学館開館 1967年（昭和42年）4月11日発行
日本が経済成長へ向かうなかで、文学資料の散逸を危惧した川端康成などの文学者や作家、研究者の呼びかけにより、1963年4月に「財団法人日本近代文学館」が発足した。その後、1967年4月、旧前田利為侯爵邸の敷地跡に「日本近代文学館」が開館した。
切手は、その開館を記念して発行され、日本近代文学館がデザインされている。
Museum of Modern Literature Issued on April 11, 1967 (Showa 42) The Museum of Modern Japanese Literature was established in April 1963 at the behest of literary figures, writers, and researchers such as Yasunari Kawabata, who was worried about the loss of literary materials as Japan headed for economic growth.After that, in April 1967, the "Museum of Modern Japanese Literature" was opened on the site of the former Marquis Maeda's residence.The stamp was issued to commemorate the opening of the museum, and the building of the Museum of Modern Japanese Literature is designed.
