国際商業衛星通信開始 1967年（昭和42年）1月27日発行
1967年、インテルサット人口衛星「ラニバード2号」により、商業衛星通信が開始された。郵政省はこの商業衛星通信の開設を記念して切手を発行した。
切手には、国際商業通信衛星「ラニバード2号」がデザインされている。

In 1967, commercial satellite communications were started by the Intelsat artificial satellite "Lanibird No. 2".The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued a stamp to commemorate the opening of this commercial satellite communication.
The stamp is designed with the international commercial communication satellite "Lanibird No. 2".
