Cancer Eradication Campaign Issued on October 21, 1966 (Showa 41) Since the Japan Cancer Society was founded in 1958 (Showa 33), the Cancer Conquest Movement has been carried out by the private sector in Japan in the latter half of the 20th century, with the dissemination of cancer knowledge and the promotion of cancer screening business as the two pillars of its activities. It leads the cancer conquest movement, and as its branch, it carries out community health services and awareness-raising activities.
