11th Pacific Science Congress Issued on August 22, 1966 (Showa 41) The Pacific Science Association (PSA) is a community-based non-governmental academic organization founded in Honolulu in 1920. The purpose of the establishment is to contribute to the development of science and technology that supports the sustainable development of the Asia-Pacific region. As an activity of PSA, there is the Asian Pacific Science Council held every four years.The stamp was issued in commemoration of the multi-con-ference held in Japan in August 1966, and a map of the Pacific Rim region is designed.
