National Children's Land Issued on May 5, 1965 (Showa 40)

National Children's Land Issued on May 5, 1965 (Showa 40) "National Children's Country" was opened on Children's Day on May 5, 1965, based on donations collected to commemorate the marriage of His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince (currently His Majesty the Emperor) in 1959. This is a children's welfare facility developed at the site of the US military base in Kanagawa prefecture to raise children who will lead the next generation. The area is about 100 hectares (about 300,000 tsubo), the outer road is 4 km, the inner road is 2.4 km, and there are walking roads between the forests. The stamp is issued in commemoration of it, and the mark of the country of children, animals and children is designed.
