八郎潟干陸式 1964年（昭和39年）9月15日発行
八郎潟の干拓は、オランダの技術者による功績が大きい。その中でもピーター・F・ヤンセンは、1954年に現地を視察して八郎潟干拓計画の概要と有益性を政府に提言し、さらに数次にわたる来日指導によって事業の進展に貢献した功績は大きい。
切手は、1964年9月の「八郎潟干陸式」を記念して発行され、稲と麦と乳牛がデザインされている。
Reclamation of Lake Hachirogata Issued on September 15, 1964 (Showa 39) The reclamation of Hachirogata is largely due to Dutch engineers. Among them, Peter. F. Janssen visited the site in 1954 and proposed the outline of the Hachirogata reclamation plan and its usefulness to the government, and further contributed to the progress of the business through several visits to Japan.The stamp was issued in commemoration of the "Hachirogata Landing Ceremony" held in September 1964, and is designed with rice, wheat and dairy cows.
