お祭りシリーズ 1964年（昭和39年）4月15日 ～ 1965年（昭和40年）12月3日発行 1964年4月から郵政省は、日本の祭りを題材とした切手を4種発行した。最初は、岐阜の高山祭が発行された。これは当時の古池郵政大臣が地元の陳情にこたえたもので、政治的色彩が濃かった。その後、京都の祇園祭、福島県の相馬野馬追、最後は埼玉県の秩父夜祭である、シリーズは日本の伝統的祭りを十分に紹介できないまま、4回で終了した。
Festival Series Issued on 4 15, 1964 (Showa39) - 12 3, 1965 (Showa40) From 1964 to 1965, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued four types of stamps on the theme of "Japanese festivals."At first, the Takayama Festival in Gifu Prefecture was adopted. This was a response to a local petition by the then Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Furuike, and had a strong political color. After that, they are the Gion Festival in Kyoto, Soma Nomaoi in Fukushima Prefecture, and finally the Chichibu Night Festival in Saitama Prefecture. This series ended after four time issuess without being able to introduce traditional Japanese festivals.
