東京国際スポーツ大会 1963年（昭和38年） 10月 11日発行 1963年10月、大会組織委員会が競技の運営に万全を期すため、諸外国に呼びかけて「東京国際スポーツ大会（プレオリンピック）を開催した。‘プレオリンピック’とは、正式なオリンピック大会に向けて、開催都市で事前に行われる競技大会であり、実際の競技施設や大会運営などをテストする目的で実施された。切手はプレオリンピック開催を記念して発行され、飛び込みと棒高跳び、そして短距離走がデザインされている。
Tokyo International Sports Meet Issued on October 11, 1963 (Showa 38) In October 1963, the Games Organizing Committee called on foreign countries to hold the "Tokyo International Sports Games (Pre-Olympic Games). The Pre-Olympic Games were held before the official Olympic Games." It is a competition held in Japan, and was held to test the actual competition facilities and the operation of the competition. Stamps are issued to commemorate the pre-Olympic Games and are designed for diving, pole vaulting, and sprinting.
