ガールスカウトアジア大会 1963年（昭和38年） 8月 1日発行 1920年、日本のガールスカウト制度は、イギリスの英語教師によってスタートした。「そなえよつねに」を標語に、「人格の修養と知識の開発」「技能と技術の習得」「奉仕的精神の涵養と実行」「健康の増進」を柱に、少女たちに自尊心を抱かせ、心身共に健全で勇気のある市民を育成することを目的とした。「保健章」「救護章」「創作章」等、29の技能章が設けられている。切手は、1963年のガール」スカウトアジア大会を記念して発行され、ガールスカウトと世界連盟旗がデザインされている。
