鳥シリーズ 1963年（昭和38年）6月10日 ～ 1964年（昭和39年）5月1日発行 郵政省は、1963年から1964年にかけて、日本に生息する代表的な鳥類を紹介するため、6種の切手を発行した。最初から、瑠璃カケス（Lidth's jay：スズメ目・カケス属）、ライチョウ（Rock ptarmigan：キジ科ライチョウ属）、キジバト（Turtle dove：ハト目・キジバト属）、コウノトリ（Stork：コウノトリ目、コウノトリ属）、ウグイス（Warbler：スズメ目ウグイス属）、ホオジロ（Bunting：スズメ目、ホオジロ属）の順である。

From the beginning, Rurikakes（ Lidth's jay：Passerine / Garrulus), Raityo (Rock ptarmigan: Ptarmigans), Kijibato(Turtle dove: Columbiformes / Streptopelia), Konotori (Stork: Ciconiiformes, Ciconiiformes), Uguisu (Warbler: Passerine, Emberiza), and Hojiro(Bunting: Passerine, Emberiza).
